*Twaron-- offers a range of advantages over fiberglass and steel, particularly in applications that demand a high strength-to-weight ratio, impact resistance, durability, and environmental adaptability. While fiberglass and steel have their place in various industries, Twaron's combination of lightweight, flexible, and high-performance properties make it a standout choice for industries ranging from defense to aerospace, automotive, and marine. Many recognized builders such as Hallberg Rassy and Swan incorporate aramid fibers such as Twaron and Kevlar (need trademark symbol for Kevlar) in primary impact areas or will lay one or possibly two layers for reinforcement. Bluewater Yachts incorporates Twaron in alternate layers through the entire hull and deck lay-up schedules.

While many builders offer a few simple layout options, counter and cushion options, Bluewater Yachts prides itself in offering the owners the ability to customize to a level not offered by any of our competitive builders. Every Bluewater is custom built to each owner's individual design ideas and cruising needs. Unlike many builders who now build using laminate interiors, Bluewater still uses real wood on board, Our designs are offered with Teak, Mahogany, White Oak, Cherry or Maple and finished in traditional Raised Panel or Louvered designs or more contemporary European style flush finishes with narrow vents. There are no two designs built alike. Mechanical and Electrical Simply put no other builder offers the Accessibility and Redundancy found aboard our BW56 and are the focus of our Bluewater designs. The BW56 features the most accessible Fuel Polishing system and design with a auxiliary Fuel pump system that allows for Polishing and Fuel transfer from tank to tank while sitting comfortably in the Saloon. A built in Oil Change Pump for the Engine, Genset and Transmission is standard as is a fully redundant Water Pump system and built in Engine Start/Stop directly inside the engine access. Bluewater Yachts intentionally does not offer an Engine Room design found on many of our competitive builders. Bluewater Yachts instead takes the approach of “shrink wrapping” the engine to make every component of the Yanmar engine and Northern Lights gensets immediately accessible.
